The Festival of Quilts 2017

In August 2017 I took part in a showcase at The Festival of Quilts. I was part of the Student Showcase with The Quilters Guild as a bursary competition.

This was an interesting opportunity to take part in as it was a public based show which allowed me to receive a different type of feedback. It was also my first opportunity to experience setting up my own stand. Because of the unique approach to 'quilting' my woven fabrics received a lot of interest.

Looking at this post show I think it would have been a great opportunity to trial products too as a lot of the show was stall based and it would have been ideal research. However this gave me a great opportunity to see how I could develop in the future and made me think about my own business.
