Formula Active is a fashion collection designed for sportswear. Taken from my interest for the Automotive Industry it was inspired by architecture from places which Formula One have toured.

To fit sportswear and to highlight aspects from the inspiration a colour palette of blue hues, metallics and an accent of red created the colour pallet for this collection. Using simple shapes and a variety of yarns such as Polypropylene, Lurex, Tencel and Rayon the collection is built up of lightweight breathable fabrics which are ideal for different areas of sportswear.

This sportswear fashion collection really allowed me to experiment with different qualities and designs I wouldn't usually use. Although it was out of my comfort zone I enjoyed the project and will certainly find a way to develop it in future as I develop as a textile designer.
